Create a NoodleTools Account and New Project Print Page


You must use NoodleTools to cite your sources and to create and organize your notes. 

Use the same username and password you use to login to the school's computers.

The username = your last name_student id#

Password = your date of birth (yyyymmdd)

Create a New Noodle Tools Account or Open an Existing Account

Set your username as your last name_student id# (smith_523645)

Set your password as your birthdate (yyyymmdd).

Make sure and drop down to choose Winkley Elementary.

Choose your graduation year.  Ms. Deaton has a poster 

Use 6700  for the phone number.  

Click "Save Profile."

Create a New Project

Click "Create a New Project." 

Select MLA and Starter style.

Describe this project as "Library  Research +  Your Topic."


Beginning the Research Process

Write Your Research Question

From the My Projects tab, click on the title of your project, "Library Research + Topic."

Click on the Dashboard tab.

When your new project opens in Dashboard, you will need to enter your research topic in the form of a question.   

You're not quite ready to write your Thesis Statement so just leave this blank.

History: This just keeps track of what you've already done.  There's no need for you to do anything here.


Setting up your project

Share Your Project

Look at the Sharing and Collaboration box,

Public View:  Just leave this turned OFF.

Sharing: Click on Share project with a teacher's drop box. 

In the Assignment Drop Box text box, begin typing your grade level.  Ex:  "5th....."

Several similar drop box titles will appear in a drop down menu box.  Select the box for your grade level's specials color group.  Be sure your name appears in the "First and Last Name" box, so your teacher will know the submission is yours.  Click Share Project.

Do not check the box that says, "Share my Google Docs paper."

Click the Share Project button.
