Website Evaluations Print Page

Your group is going to look at several websites to discover their purpose and decide whether or not they would be good sites for research.

Your first step it to watch the English Shorts video.  Take notes.  You are going to need to learn these words: BIAS, CREDIBLE, CONTENT, OPINION.  You can learn the definition of these words from the video.  Write the definitions of each word down on the note taking page.  You also need to learn what REAL means and what each letter stands for!

The Quizlet box is a fun game that will help you learn all the vocabulary words!

Next, you are going to look at the websites on the right side of this page.  Using the checklist, evaluate each website.  You and your group must determine if the websites would be good for research.  Remember, the goal of REASEARCH is to answer questions that you might have about a topic.  You must learn all the correct, factual information you can.  An opinion of a subject is ok, but cannot be used as fact.
